Looking Back: 1 Year Anniversary

May 22, 2016

It’s been a little over a year since we put our idea of a blog to action and exactly one year since our first blog post. More than anything we’ve enjoyed going through the creative process of this blog together. It’s also given us an outlet for our writing and photography about the interests that are most important to us - food and travel.

Whether it’s creating a recipe, recapping travels, interviewing makers around the world, discovering new wines, or simply sharing a memorable picnic or what we found at the Farmers’ Market this week, it’s always exciting to feel the inspiration that sparks these posts.

As a way to look back on the past year, here are your top five favorite posts and our top six (we couldn't narrow it down!) favorite posts:

Packing for a 7-Week Journey in Asia

Packing so lightly for that long trip forced us to be very self aware, making us really pay attention to our needs, and surprisingly writing this post, especially after the trip, made us dig even deeper

Farmers' Market Finds: Fruits of Colombia

These fruits are so unique to Colombia and we had fun buying a new fruit every time we found one and cracking it open in our Airbnb to discover its taste, texture, color and smell

We got mixed reactions upon hearing we visited Mexico City as many people worry that it’s dangerous, and while this post doesn’t even begin to do the city justice, it’s a peek into the wonderful things it has to offer tourists
