During our recent visit to Bogotá, we happened upon this adorable tea shop, a few steps away from our apartment. We spent a lot of time here, drinking tea and reading our books in the cozy and homey space.

Colombia - the land of corn, coffee, fruit, fútbol and friendly people. We were fortunate enough to experience a little bit of it all even while spending most of our time in one city: Bogotá. A few days of cold rain at the start of our trip meant taking Ubers everywhere, but the sun and warmth on our last few days meant spontaneous stops for buttery arepas from street vendors or tasty coffee at outdoor coffee shops.

Close your eyes, think New York. Images you might conjure up may include hot dogs and skyscrapers, and if you've been keeping up with the times, bicycles and beards in Brooklyn. When I think back to our vacation in Bogotá, I think of fog (does he have a name?), hills, arepas and... fruits! You can't walk a block in Bogotá without encountering a fruit stand, or (more likely) a jugo — juice — vendor.
